Hey APUSHERS! Here is my homework...

1) Both the French and English used the Native Americans for trading goods that they did not have. By trading, they created strong bonds with the Indians, and used the Indians to help them fight in the French and Indian war.

2) There might have been tensions between the British and French for many reasons. First of all, both were claiming many new lands, and maybe they felt as though they were competing. Secondly, both wanted the Ohio River Valley, so that could have caused some of the tension.

3) In modern day Pennsylvania, the French were building Fort Duquesne. George Washington, who was a general, wanted to stop them. He tried to invade with his troops, but they were all stopped by the French and their Indian buddies. Washington's troops had to retreat. THE END

4) The Albany Plan of Union had two main goals. 1) To build their own colonial force for defense and 2) to all pay taxes for those forces. However, this was unsuccessful. First of all, I think it was unsuccessful because 6 representatives from the colonies couldn't make the meeting anyway. Second, many people had doubts about the taxes. probably all of the colonies though they'd end up paying too much for someone else's troops, or that somehow it wouldn't work out. Most colonies were probably very skeptical of the idea.

5) :D YAY I'M ALMOST DONE!!! The results of the French and Indian war was that the British won. YAY! Mostly the British credited this victory to William Pitt, a Prime Minister, who got them to capture Fort Duquesne and Montreal-Quebec. They ended the war with the Paris Peace Settlement of 1763, which stated that France did not own any part of North America, except for 2 islands on Newfoundland. (Newfoundland is such a stupid name! Why not call it Looksomelandland!)

YAY I'M DONE AND I AM THE FIRST ONE TO POST THIS I THINK! ok, that's all, byebye!

THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. The french and the Indian had used the Native Americans for trading. They used the Idians to help them fight in the war.

2. The tensions between the British and the French is that they both wanted the Ohio River Valley.

3. George Washington wanted to stop the French from building a Fort. George Washinton didn't stop them because the French and the Indians stuck together so that George Washinton can't stop them.

4. The Albany Plan of Union was to pay taxes for the forces and to build a colonial force. I think that the Albany Plan of Union failed beacuse people didn't want to pay for other people's troops. They thought that they would pay too much.

5. After the French and Indian War had ended the British had won. There was a treaty called the Paris Peace Settlement of 1763. France couldn't own any part of North America.

3) General George Washington wanted to stop the French from building the fort so he brought his troops, but they didn't stay long because of the French and Indians. They made Washington and his troops retreat, and that was the beginning of the French and Indian War.

4) The Albany Plan of Union focused mainly on these two issues: 1) Developing a colonial force of defense 2) Self-imposed taxation to pay for that defense. The Albany Plan of Union failed because people didn't want to pay for the troops taxes.

5) The results of the French and Indian War, were that the British won. The Paris Peace Settlement of 1763 showed that France couldn't own any part of North America, except for the two islands in Newfoundland.

1. How did the French and English both utilize their relationships with Native Americans to their advantages?

The French and English allied with the Native Americans, hoping to use them to fight in the war.

2. What reasons might explain why there was tension between the British and the French?

The settlers in France wanted to increase their land for their fur trade. Both, the French and British, wanted to settle in Ohio River Valley.

3. In your own words, describe the first battle of the French and Indian War (1754-1763).

22 year-old George Washington was sent out with 150 men to where the French was building their fort, called Fort Duquesne. Washington hoped to stop the French from finishing the fort, but they had a battle with a small group of French and Huron Indians in the woods on their way to the unfinished fort. Washington had to retreat with his men after he lost the battle.

4. Discuss the goals of the Albany Plan of Union. Why do you think the Albany Plan of Union failed?

Goals:
1. Developing a colonial force of defense.
2. Self-imposed taxation to pay for that defense.

I think the Albany Plan of Union failed because first, the distance and rough traveling conditions kept the representatives from meeting. Also, the British government was unhappy with developing a more colonial force of defense, while the colonists were unhappy with having to pay for those forces.

5. Discuss the results of the French and Indian War.

The British won the war. From the British views, they see William Pitt, a prime minister, as a hero. He succeeded in collapsing Fort Duquesne and conquered Montreal-Quebec. A year after the victory of Montreal, France was removed from powering over Canada.

1. The French traded with the Huron Indian tribes in the early 1600s. They traded mostly fur and this established a strong relationship between the French and the Hurons.
British developed trade relationships with the Iroquois. Iroquois were alligned with the colonists and the British because of their trading bond.

2. The tensions were caused between the British and French because of their desire for lands. They both wanted the Ohio River valley and wanted to claim many new lands so basically they were competing and tensions arose between them.

3. The first battle of the French and Indian were was a harsh loss for the British. British sent George Washington with 150 troops and George Washington planned to intercept the French's fort and make it their own. However, while on their way, they were attacked by some Indians and French. Before even reaching the fort, Washington's troops retreated after losing horribly.

4. The goals of the union was basically for the Native Americans and the colonists to defend their lands from the French. They also formed the union to self-impose taxation to pay for the defences.
Although the idea of the union was efficient, many weren't so enthusiastic about traveling such a far distance to attend the meetings. Also they did not like the plans having to do with taxes. British also thought that the colonists were self-governing themselves so the Albany Plan of Union has failed.

5. The results were cruel to the French and the Indians. The French lost all their lands in the America and had to back out to the land that is now Canada. Indians were also in a dillema. Since French could not protect or support them at all, they were pushed around and ruled by the strict British government. Indians also created rebellions for the fear that the colonists might invade their territory going a bit farther than just ruling them.

Hey Everyone here is the HW:

1. The French and English both utilized their relationships with Native Americans very much. The Huron tribe allied with France and helped to defeat the English on their way to take over Duquesne the first time. The Iroquois helped the English in their second battle over fort Duquesne.

2.There has always been tension between the English and French. They fought over land, political issues and probably wanted to show their competitivness by fighting. Thats why they had tension.

3. The first attack of the French and Indian war went like this:
-George Washington came in with Iroquois to Fort Duquesne
-Attacked in the woods by Huron Indians and French.
-Lost many men.
-Retreated.

4. The Reason why I think, Benjamin Franklins "Albany Plan of Union" failed was because he wanted and needed to raise taxes to make the plan work. No one wants to pay extra taxes so it blew away with the wind.

5.The Results of the French and Indian war was that the British came from behind and won the war. There was a Peace Treaty signed in 1763 which stated that France had only a little piece of Canada now. The end is that the British took control over the colonies which soon led up to the American Revolution.

1) The British established trade with the Iroqouis, which resulted in an alliance between the two groups, including the Colonists. The French maintained a good relationship with the Huron Indians since the early 15th century. When the Huron asked the French to help them in competition against their principle rivalry, the Iroqouis, the French agreed to do so. During the French and Indian War, the Huron Indians were a major ally of the French.

2) The French, and the British, wanted to expand their settlement towards the Ohio River Valley. Tension rose between the two nations in their competition towards gaining that particular land. Meanwhile, in Europe, war broke out between France and England, with the involvement of many other European countries. The British later on captured Louisbourg, a French city, and invaded New France in order to prevent the French from conquering any British land.

3) The first battle of the French and Indian War was led by 22-year-old George Washington. Washington's primary goal was preventing the French from completing Fort Duquesne. However, before the Colonists could achieve their goal, they came across a group of French and Huron Indians, and became involved in a battle. The Colonists retreated.

4) The Albany Plan of Union had two main goals, which were to form an alliance between the Colonists and Native Americans in order to promote self-defense, and to impose taxes in the Colonists and Indians in order to pay for that self-defense. The plan turned out to be unsuccessful, however, because colonists were against taxation, and the British were against the Colonies gaining self-control.

5) As a result of the French and Indian War, the British gained an image as a powerful militia. The French abdicated their control over Montreal and Quebec, and announced that they did not hold any control over North America, except for several islands near Newfoundland.

1. The french and the english both liked their relationships with the native americas. the huron tribe, who allied with france to help defeat the english on their way to conquer duquesne the first time. the second time, the iroquois indians helped the english for their battle over duquesne.

2. there was always tension between the english and french. both fought over land, political issues and wanted to show off or show their competitivness by fighting.

3. the first attack of the french and indian war:
- washington & irouquois indians went to fort duquesne
-they were attacked by huron indians and the french
-they lost many men
-then they retreated

4. the reason why i think the albany plan of union failed was because he wanted to raise taxes, and people dont like that and wont pay the extra money.

5. the results of the war were that the british came from behind and won the war that way. a peace treaty was signed in 1763 which stated that france would only have a little piece of canada. in the end, the british took control over the colonies which then led to the american revolution.

Sorry I am posting so late, I got caught up in the debate, anyway here is the homework:

1. The English and the French both used the Native Americans to their advantage in terms of trading.

2. The reasons that there could of been high tension between the two countries because they were both in the rush to see who could clam the most land in the new world.

3. George Washington was a member of the English, and tried to stop the French from building a fort in Pennsylvania. But because the French were friends with the Native Americans. George Washington had no choice but to retreat.

4. The Albany Plan of Union's main goal was to start having all of the colonies work together and build an army. The reason why I believe that it was unsuccessful is because of a few reasons. Number One: It was the first time that the colonies came together and said " Hey, why don't we all work together!" And because this was the first time, there were still some bugs in the system.
Number Two: All of the colonies that were represented all said, " you know what, I don't think that I can support this tax." And Number Three: As I said before, it was new. It had a lot of bugs, and as we say in the computer world, it needed to be debug.

5. The out come of all of this was that the English won. Their was a treaty made called the Paris peace settlement which basically stated that the French could not own land in any part of north america accept Newfoundland.

Well thats it.

on a side note, the debate was held in my dad's old college!

Heys. This is me homework.

1. The Native Americans have been used often between the French and the English. The Native Americans would capture animals and skin them for fur that will be traded off to the Europeans. This profitted the supplies for both the French and English and the Native Americans.

2. There were tension between the British and the French because land was involved. Both countries wanted to move westward in America and both wanted the Ohio River Valley. Therefore, they fought to claim a land.

3. The first battle, also known as the Battle of Jumonville Glen, is when a George Washington and his soldiers tried prevent the French from building a fort. Unfornately, George Washington was overpowered by the many French there and had to retreat.

4. The Albany plan was created for many reasons. This strengthens there colonial force and also requires the colonies to pay taxes to support the colonial force. This plan resulted as a failure. The colonies weren't trilled to hear that they had to pay taxes. Also, some believed it was inconvient to go to another colony.

5. Britain won the French and Indian war. France lost ALL control of their property in America except the New Foundland. The Colonies also became more independent from Britian.

1. The French and English both used the native americans for trading what they did not have which profited the french and english. Also, by creating strong relationships with the Indians the french used the native americans as their ally during the war.

2. There were tensions between the french and the english since both wanted to claim lands by the Ohio river valley which resulted as competition which became very tense.

3. During the French and Indian war, french had built a fort called fort duquesne so general washington decided to stop the french and claim the fort to the british. He attempted to invade the fort but failed when the French defeated Washington's troops. So washington was forced to surrender and French still gained control of fort dusquense.

4. The albany plan of union had two goals. One goal was to unite all the colonies together to create a colonial defense. Another goal was that all colonies had to pay taxes for these forces. But the plan was unsuccessful due to the fact that the colonies didn't want to pay taxes to other colonies and didn't feel the need to. They had doubts about paying money to other colonies so decided against it. The plan was also unsuccessful since 6 representatives from the colonies didn't make the meeting.

5.In the end of the french and indian war, british won. Prime minister William Pit was viewed as a hero by the british when he destroyed fort dusquense when washington could not and conquered Montreal-Quebec. The paris peace settlement of 1763 stated that the french could not own any land in north america except for the two lands of Newfoundland.

1) THe French and English used Native Americans for trading. They traded things they did not have. BY doing this, they were able to keep strong bonds with one another and if needed they were there to help during the French and Indian War.

2) The reason why there was tension between the British and the French was because they were fighting for new lands. They both really wanted the Ohio river Valley. IT would help them for importing and exporting goods.

3) The first battle in the French and Indian war was caused because of General George Washington. He was trying to invade the French's fort Duscaine with his troops. AFter being stopped by the French and their allies, the Indians, Washing had to retreat.

4)The Albany Plan of Union had two specific goals.
These goals include BUilding their own colonial force for defense, and in order to have those forces you must pay taxes. During the time no one wanted to pay taxes which lead to the plan being unsuccessful. Also having members (representatives) were un eligable to show up.

5)The results of the French and Indian war was that the British won. Victory was mainly because of Prime minister, William Pitt. He captured the For and Montreal - Quebec. Nearly 9 years later after the war began, the two countries signed the Paris Peace Settlement. This plan stated that France did not own any piece of land.
