1. Even though the war was won by the colonies and Great Britain, the aftermath didn't go so well for the colonies. The western land was all open to the colonies ready to be settled on. But Britain didn't want any more trouble with the Indians although they had claimed the land after the war. So then the British didn't allow the colonists to settle westward. They were not to continue further at the West of Appalachian mountains. Colonists were very frustrated and started a small combustion of conflict between two sides.
2. England's polices after 1763 was very visible. They didn't try to hide it at all. They taxed and regulated colonies excessively in order to maintain economy and control back in Great Britain. After the war, Britain had lost much money and needed to pay back loans and such. The country was also in chaos and in order to stop 2 chaos from occurring they had to keep strict policies on the colonies.
3. Back then, there were the loyalists and the patriots. The loyalists took the Britain's side serving them like a real king. But Patriots didn't see any reason to serve Britain because the colonies were after all their land. Loyalists decided to obey and listen to Britain's policies, but Patriots on the other hand felt the need to rebel against Britain because such policies were blasphemy for them.
4. The Continental Congress was the colonies' own congress before the independence. They created such congress to come up with grievances against Britain, come up with plans to act against them and to regulate the colonies over all.
5. Politically the colonies were a bit more stable the the British. Britain had just gone into a war only a few years ago and has to go into war again. There was disorder in Britain but the colonies had nothing to worry about but to fight Britain. Economically, they were about the same. Colonies' economy reflected against Britain's and vise-versa. Militarily, America was a bit behind. They weren't as trained as organized British troops. Americans had to be mass recruited in a short amount of time whereas Britain had already set-up a army beforehand.
6. The Battles of Saratoga was considered a turning point of the American Revolution because America had won a very decisive battle over a vast 6,000 troops of British. British were the ones invading New York but they have lost the battles and have surrendered against America.
7. Many African-Americans were offered freedom by both sides, especially Britain. Britain felt the need to turn Americans against their own side in order to win the war no matter what. But most fought beside their owners or comrades with Americans in the war.
8. Sadly, the war barely brought any changes to the blacks and women. Even before the war, they were still mistreated and it wasn't the Britain's effect on the mistreatment either. So the mistreatment stilled continued on as slavery was still a issue and unfairness to women was well.

1.Englands success in the French and Indian War transformed the relationship between the colonies and Great Britan in 2 ways. To some extent there was a laissez-faire or no nead to be involved such and sometimes there were issuses such as the newly taken land from the Mississippi on. So depending on how you look at it the French and Indian War helped and hurt the relationship between the colonies and Great Britan.
2.Englands policies after 1763 was that of indebt and need money now. The F&I war left Britan broke so they started to tax their favorite colonies.
3. They were controversial to what actions to take in that Britan was the Parent and Sustainer of the Colonies. One false move and everything you know goes down the drain. They started to boycott and petition but Britan did exactly as they feared and enacted more taxes.
4. The Continental Congress was a way for all the colonies to agree on a plan of action and have a full scale war with Britan.
5. English had mainly the power over those three concepts but over time and as the war came to an end the US slowly started to have the upper hand.
6. From the Battle of Saratoga on the Colonies started to win there battles more often and so it was a "turning point" in the war, a shift in power.
7. They were used and treated a true soldier but there intentions were some what different. They wanted freedom from their masters and to be free US citizens.
8. I do not think that it changed the status. After the war women were still treated as property and slaves just the same. So until the 1950's there was very if any women and african american rights.

1. English success in the French and Indian war transformed the relationship between them and the colonies in many ways. First of all, it opened up much land, which England did not want its colonies to settle in. The colonies began to feel the need for independence. They wanted more land to settle in. This trained the relationship between the colonies and England.

To accomplish the victory for Britian in the French and Indian War, Britian relied much on the colonies. The colonies realized that can fight for themselves which boosted their desire for independence. After this war, Britian was in huge debt because of the war and forced the colonies to pay off thei debt in forms of taxes. The colonies resented this action which created a hatred among the colonies and Britian.
2. What was the purpose behind England's policies after 1763?England charged the colonies with taxes in hopes for the debt they had after the French and Indian war to cease. Also, England realized the fact that the colonies began to want independence therefore, they attempted to change this so they will remain loyal to Britian.
3. Why were American colonists divided over what course of action to take in response to England's policies? Describe the different courses of actions Americans wanted to take.In America, the colonies were divided into the loyalist and the patriots. The loyalist supports Britian and their actions towards the colonies but, the patriots believe in independence from Great Britian. The patriots felt that Britian isn't benefiting the colonies at all and seeks change.

POLITICAL: Britian had experience in past wars.
ECONOMIC: Britian had collected many tax money from the colonies which helps Britian.
ColoniesMILITARY: All the colonist soldier are determined and willing to fight. We gained experience from the Britian soldiers.
POLITICAL: We have gone into war before.
ECONOMIC: Many nations recieve our export goods which profits us.

7. Describe the role played by African Americans in the Revolutionary War.Due to the lack of people in Colonies, for more soldiers, many colonists turned to the African Americans. So, the African Americans contributed to the victory of the colonist.

Why not?The revoluntary war didn't change the conditions and/or the status of blacks and women because this war's suppose was freedom. The colonies wanted freedom from Britian which has NOTHING to do with blacks and women in America.

2. They began to tax the colonies. England had lost a LOT of money during the war. They'd hoped that they could make it back by taxing the colonies. This, however, was taxation without representation (boooo!!!) so it was NOT good.
3. Some colonists felt that Britain was not asking for much, so they decided to pay the taxes peacefully. These people were loyalists. Others felt that this was unfair, and revolted. These colonists were called Patriots.
4. It was a congress that the colonies made. The used it to make plans about how to get back at the British. :)
5. England basically had many advantages. Politically and military wise, they were better. They had THOUSANDS of well trained troops. But economically, they had just come out a war, so England was quite poor.
6. America won this battle despite the odds. Ut was one of the first battles that the colonies actually won. From then on, they won many more. And eventually because AMERICA!!!!! lol :)
7. African americans played a large part. They were offered freedom to fight by Britain and the Colonies. Britain had hoped to turn the slaves against their masters, but they were true to their colonies (YAY!) and helped us win :)
