1. He is saying that the frontier promoted the formation of a composite nationality for the American people and it also is the line of the most rapid and effective Americanization. If the frontier is closed, then its going to close the first period of American history.

2. Proponents of American expansion say that it will be beneficial for us to expand. President Grant says we should annex Dominican Republic because it has the riches soil, best and most capacious harbors, most salubrious climate, and the most valuable products of the forest, mine, and soil of any of the West Indian Islands. Charles Sumner's response was island of San Domingo was a possession of the United States but the enforced jurisdiction cannot endure force of arms just to annex the land.

3. Roosevelt says that one strategic interest is to risk everything and be tough and big in order to dominate the world.

4. The Monroe Doctrine because if the nation builds and keep at a rank as of the highest training a thoroughly efficient and strong navy, the Monroe Doctrine will be succesful.

5. Only in some cases like wrongdoing or impotence. Then we can have the exercise of an internal police power.

1. Turner believed the significance of the frontier in American history was thatthe frontier promoted the formation of a composite nationality for the American people. He is basically saying that if the frontier closes, then a piece of American history will be closed as well.

2. Proponents of American expansion say that it will be beneficial for us to expand our country, such as annex the Dominican Republic.

3. As Monica stated, i observed that Roosevelt states that one strategic interest is to risk everything & act powerful in order to dominate the world.

4. Once again, i agree with Monica. The Monroe Doctrine will help to establish a strong navy, which in my eyes, is the ingrident for a strong nation.

3. I agree with Monica and Jenna. Roosevelt said that one strategic interest is to rick everything and act powerful in order to dominate the world.

4. The Monroe Doctrine will help us to establish a strong navy. Without a strong navy you don't exactly have a strong nation.

mr. tesler ! you didn't tell me to check the blogg ! but, i did anyways.(:

1. What does Frederick Jackson Turner believe was the significance of the frontier in American history? What might be the implications of the closing of the frontier?

Frederick Jackson believed that the frontier promoted democracy in America. This expanded America's land and power and he believes it'sa positive thing. He also says that nationalizing all accur and there would be major internal impovements in America. If the frontier line was non-existing then all the expanding and growing in America will not accur.

2. What did proponents of American expansion argue? How did anti-imperialists respond to their arguments?

Proponents agreed with this treaty such as President Grant, saying that gaining more land will give America more natural resources that can benefit us. But, the antti-imperialists disagree with expansion because they feel that self-governed states can not control overly populated people.

3. What, in your view, were the relative importance of economic interest, ideology, and strategic interest in encouraging American imperialism?

In America, during 1800ish-1900ish century. Expansion, power, land, and money was going into people heads. America as well as other countries wanted to be the most richest and most powerful country to dominant the world. I think it's called Social Darwinism(?) which is a time period where people believed that the life game is "survival of the fittest". So, we prospered new land, and increased our population.

4. What principles should govern American foreign policy?

The Monroe Doctrine is a great model to look up to. It concerns about social welfare, about wrongdoing of people, and also ties into the civilized society.

5. When should the United States interfere in the internal affairs of a foreign country?

I believe when a foreign country's management or cooraperation is in trouble and they ask for help, she should then interfere with the internal affairs of a foreign country.

2. Proponents argued that it would be very beneficial to expand the U.S. They said that we could gain rich soil, harbors, and valuable resources, etc. Anti-imperialists replied that self-governed states couldn't control larger a large amount of people.

3. Personally, I feel that there was much importance in each country trying to expand and improve themselves. It would benefit that country immensely, but not the country that is being taken over (obviously).

4. Is this an opinion question???? I am confused... or is there a certain right answer somewhere. Eh. Oh well. I'll ask someone about it tomorrow.

5. The U.S should only interfere when it will benefit the foreign country as much as it will benefit the U.S, or when the foreign country asks for help.
