1. The movement in Democracy means democrats basicaly getting bigger and expanding their beliefs. A time when democracy expanded was then the federalists crashed and then the Democratic Republicans split and became two separate parties known as the Democrats and the Republicans.
2. Religion efffected colonial Maryland because Maryland was known as Catholic heaven where everyone was religious.
3. Thomas Jefferson and George Washington contributed to the united states by both being a part of our declaration of independance and by both becoming presidents of the united states.
4. The policy changed from the first world war to the second by the poison gasses being illegal for the first world war and for the second world was we stablished the atomic bomb.

With the refrom movements, many people had more ideas how to make the nation a better country and many politics joined in for hope of their support. Most of the reforms had a huge impact on the Democracy in the US.
Reform movements in the US sought to preserve Democratic Ideals in the years of 1825-1850 because many political parties wanted support from many different reforms like ablitionist and termperances.
The Reform movements in the US sought to preserve Democratic Ideals because the political parties wanted support from ablitionists to abolist slavery. Abolishing slavery would make democracy look beter for the north.

The reforms in the United States have helped change the country to the nation it is today, such as the abolitionist, who fought for slaves freedom, and the femonist movement, which gave females rights.

Place and Time: Throughout the U.S. – from 1820’s to 1830’s
Prior Knolledge: Most women were for the temperance movement and most men were against it. Women thought that it would decrease abuse, etc.
Audience: Women because this Is for the temperance movement because it shows the good parts of it
Reason: This shows the effects of drinking alcohol.
The Main Idea: The temperance movement is good overall and it will affect society in a positive way.
Significance: It is a summary of what is bad about drinking alcohol.

Place and Time: Seneca Falls, August 2. 1848
Prior Knolledge: The Seneca Falls Convention was promoting womens rights.
Audience: Women
Reason: To show the purpose of women having rights and to persuade judges to give women rights because they are equal to men.
The Main Idea: Women should have equal rights.
Significance: The points of women having the same rights as men.
Document A. This document is telling about some of the accomplishments that the country made. The country was the first to adopt the penitentiary system of prison discipline and it was first to prevent the commission of crimes,and by religion and moral instruction...etc. It also said that there was no alternatives till the House of Refuge was established. Author is Fourth Annual Report, and Society for the Reformation of Juvenile Delinquents in the City of NY, 1829. Time is during 1829. It is written to the people of the time being.

Document B. This document is basically telling about the effects and process of the church. The churches are awakened and reformed, then people would follow it. It said that people changed, and their hearts were broken. The drunkards, Harlots and Infidels were awakened and converted.

Document C. When I saw this picture it made me think of a slave that had no rights. It showed that women werent treated like others.Author is Patrick Reason. The time is 1835. Reason to show that women are not treated equal. Prior Knowledge- Women were not treated fair, or equal. The audience was to the people, Americans. It showed that women were struggling.
