HW Week of 2/27

Hello, APUSH'ers:

Here are your HW assignments for the week of 2/27.   Please note that you, the student, are responsible for printing any handouts related to your assignments, including your checklists.  Late assignments will not be accepted, with the exception of a legal absence from school.

You may choose to complete the GRQ's, and/or the GRAPs (AMSCO).   If you complete both, you will receive extra credit.

The GRQ's/GRAPs, readings, and checklist can be found in the HW folder for this week. 

In addition to your GRQ/GRAP, you must take notes on the video below.

Video Assignment - America in the 20th Century - The Roaring 20's

Carefully watch the video below.  You may stop, pause, and review the video, at any point.  Based on the video, and your knowledge of the events of the 1920's, answer the questions on the worksheet.

If you'd like, you can make a copy of the worksheet, and upload it your google drive.

Carefully watch the video below.  You may stop, and review the video at any points you need to do so.  Based on the video, and your knowledge of WWI, answer the questions on the worksheet.  Good Luck!

Progressive Era DBQ - Extra Credit Assignment

APUSH'ers:  Here is your mission.  There is a valuable reward for successful completion of this challenge (replace your lowest test grade).  This is due on MONDAY 2/13/17.  

1.  CLICK HERE for the Progressive Era DBQ.  If you can print out the documents, that would be great.  If not, write out the questions, and answers (please complete them in complete sentences).

2.  Write the DBQ essay, in which you will...

• Choose three goals mentioned in the historical context and for each 
• Discuss the conditions that led Progressive reformers to address the goal 
• Discuss the extent to which the goal was achieved

***IMPORTANT:  You must address THREE of the FOUR goals of the progressives (protecting consumers, regulating child labor, improving working conditions, and expanding democracy).  Your essay should be at least FIVE paragraphs***

3.  Attach the DBQ Rubric to your essay, either with a staple, or paper clip.  Make sure that you TADOO!!! 

• Task:  Did you do what the "dots" told you to do?  
• Analysis:  Did you explain why the things that happened were important, or did you just copy what the documents said? 
• Documents:  Did you make reference to at least FIVE documents in your essay.  
• Outside Info:  Did you incorporate any information that was NOT in the documents?  
• Organization:  Does your essay have an introduction, and conclusion?  Are those paragraphs at least five sentences, each?  Are your ideas organized?

ALL WORK IS DUE ON FRIDAY, 2/10.  

GRAP/GRQ: 50% of your HW grade for the week 
This week, you will have a choice.  You can choose one of the following options, or BOTH for extra credit.

OPTION 1: Complete the reading and GRAP for Chapter 22 of the AMSCO APUSH review text.   Here is a link to the GRAP as a Google Doc

OPTION 2:  Read pp. 738-43, in Chapter 29, and Chapter 30 of The American Pageant, and and complete the GRQ's for the chapter.   This is an extra spicy set of GRQ's, so be prepared!
